This is a decoration project of a 50 m2 apartment in the neighbourhood of Cuatro Caminos, Madrid. The distribution of all the elements seeks to optimize a small space, giving it a greater sense of spaciousness. We built an environment in which pieces of furniture and contemporary art dialogue with European mid-century designs.

The monochromatic beige tone of the walls is the element that unites the different rooms of the apartment, like a linen canvas on which the furniture gives way to a gradation of bright colours and unique textures.

The mid-century pieces are the protagonists of this central space and distribution of the house. It is here where we have combined a round dining table, from the English firm G-Plan (1960s), with Danish oak chairs model 75, designed by Niels O. Møller for JL Moller (1950s). As a prodigy of stillness, on the table, we have placed the Danish lamp model PH 4/3 Pendant in white, a design by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen (1960s).

The sofa, also of mid-century inspiration, combines with the raw linen fabrics and the rod that supports the curtain, an original design by Constante, made of oak wood to accompany the tones, shapes and materiality of the house.

The vibration of colour is expressed in the contemporary artworks that dress the walls of this central room: a painting of yellow geometries by Portuguese artist Pedro Gomes, and a lithograph on paper by Andy Warhol, who dresses the kitchen wall with his pop look.
